Huang Jieyuan: My works involve media such as video, photography, painting and installation. Through deconstruction of images, painting theory, virtual technology, digitization and other elements, I direct visual viewing into complex image field and virtual perception world. In recent video practice, I have performed anatomical image analysis aiming at new visual machines that are constantly being produced. A large number of image fragments, such as industrial video material, network images, and images generated by virtual technology, are "written" into the image field, and viewing is transformed into verification of visual coding. No matter it is an image in the current context or a historically forgotten image, an exquisite commercial image, or an inferior and outdated image, through archeology and rearrangement of the image, I have began to consider issues about identity, visual power, consumption and cross-culture.
