Chen Xi: My paintings are of things I cannot own or touch—or perhaps the things I can own but cannot transform into real objects. Growing up is a process of letting things go. Maybe they are things we do not need to keep anymore. What lies beyond the present is the past. As time and life fade away, there is only our past.
