Deng Xianxian：I adopt the artistic strategies of traditional Chinese realistic painting due to my character. I am not especially good at using language, but I like to pay attention to details and the things that people rarely notice, such as the shapes of small parts, the folds and edges of clothes, the ends of curled hairs… For me, there is a certain kind of material code. The trivial components that through our lives with their familiar breath are an integral part of our era.
