Feng Hanping: My works build on spontaneity and contingency, When I begin painting, I slowly recognize either a gloomy or bright trend to the tone and life like images begin to emerge. I aim to create semantically rich scenes and present viewers with visions of a complex, sensitive and fragile world. No matter what conicts arise in the works—between ratios and perspectives or the complexity of time and space, I depict the work's natural contingency, nothingness and uncertainty, continually rethinking the meaning and value of human existence.
