Lin Yi's creation revolves around the fantasies of daily life, she emphasizes a kind of repetitive labor in her works, it strengthens women's identity and status of working in everyday life. Her recent works focus on materials and social concerns, she expanded from her own life to the relationship between herself and the society, through her unique artistic way, taking the materials in life as the carrier, exploring and emphasizing elasticity, body, events, nuances and other issues. On the boundary between chance and necessity, she discusses the contradictory relationship of human being, while in space and field, between family and society.
