Lv Zhe’s creation is initiated from youth works. “Toys & Masks Series” has a strong sense of “ loss and found” of youth. This feeling is no longer the "the cruelties of youth" in the early 2000s, which emphasizes on the crude of brutal blood color or dominate image of damage. To contrast with the artists of 1970s, Lv Zhe’s painting displays a more subtle and relatively delicate expression in emotion. He adopts “ Still Sense” to put leading figures with mask symbols into different environments or games’ lost theaters, and endows the existence of the figures with significance through half-story scenario. Gradually his creation began to dissolve clear protagonist and symbol. Through conceptualizing the plane composition, his paintings started to deviate from defined meanings and narration, but entered into a kind of conceptual constitution between people and environment. Moving forward along this road, Lv Zhe’s painting begins to develop from the plane constitution to the construction between work units. Later, among these works, the principal role of architecture and environment began to bid farewell to the function of the object type, and the function of leading figure retired. The perspective of building was entrusted with new meaning and the value of the world of art, instead of the “ Things’ Order” under “ Normal Days”. In this case, artistic concept not only enhanced contemporaneity, but also made Lv Zhe’s art progress further on the purified road. His “Chimney” continued to express the order of things conceptually. “ A Plane just Passed By” practiced the intertextuality between images and texts. The sky in his “ Overcast and Rainy” revealed a visual production function for conceptual creation.
