As a kid, who was born in Qingdao, a port city of China, the sea is the existence that guards my growth. It is closely related to me. The freedom of the Sea is the state of life I yearn for, and "living like the sea" is the life goal I am looking for. I have always been looking for my relationship with the sea, using the sea as a medium to express my relationship with society, nature, others, and myself. And searching for more artistic techniques and new possibilities in art during the creating process, by exploring different forms and means in art to express self-emotions, so as to achieve the purpose of communicating with the outside and inner world.

 
My works mainly focusing on the theme of "The Power of the Sea", and chosen video art, installation art, and performance art as the performance mediums. The natural dynamics and laws of the sea are been using to record the artistic behavior. "The Power of the Sea" is not only include the force emitted by marine life, the sound power of the waves, the movement force, the visual power of the sea that changes color due to different time, the smell power when the sea breeze blows, the power beyond the scale of human beings; but also the mental power. For me, the most powerful force of the sea is the power of feelings. The sea changes at different times just like humans have different moods, giving people a varied feeling. Although the sea has great power, it is like a mirror that reflects my inner thoughts every moment when I encounter with it. I believe it is something that is beyond people's imagination, and gives me more inspiration. I would prefer to express the differences that when I facing the sea by the use of materiality and spatiality and the phoneme produced by their relationship in my work. Using the natural dynamics and laws of the sea to record and express the artistic acts.

To me, "the sea" has become more like an invisible existence, gradually losing its original form and beginning to become a new thing that is about to be shaped. I feel fortunate to have found it. In the front of the sea, I can be honest without reservation. It was art that brought me closer to it. Some people dedicate their lives to art, and I prefer to dedicate my life to the sea. Because of the sea, I fell in love with making art. Because there is a sea, I will insist on doing art.
