This Doggy is called Danhuang, which I found outside the studio two years ago. At that time, it weighed only 10 kilograms, thin like a model, with exceptionally long legs. Over the past two years, both Danhuang and I have gained 10 kilograms from being well-fed. The days have been peaceful and warm, with a content heart and a plump body. In the spring of 2023, I stepped away from the abstract themes of the past three years and started creating the "Doggy Paradise" series with Danhuang as the main subject. It represents the small happiness of returning to daily life, like the peace of mind of being wrapped in a blanket, the warmth of an embrace, and the satisfaction of a bowl of rice cake in broth. It's like Danhuang's tail, wagging like a propeller, every day when I come back home.
