In recent years, Hong Baofeng's creations, whether using color powder or acrylic oil paintings, have all followed a path of observing nature at will and then using his most intuitive impression to paint. He emerged from the strictest academic system, although he had a strong preference for it, he was also more aware that this was not the path he had to repeat as a young artist. The richness of painting language has greatly surpassed the classic academic model. He enjoys the temperament of Impressionist artists and the leisurely and accessible atmosphere in the context of Eastern art. He does not want to be stubborn in the confusion of language, but wants to directly point to the heart of painting and deeply understand nature, landscapes, and objects. He started painting without hesitation, imprinting the objects he observed in his mind, even falling into contemplation, and drawing out the feelings of the objects in his memory. These objects are still the evolution of his heart, no longer in contrast to any external landscape. Instead, he moves naturally with his hands following his heart, each stroke falling and giving birth to another. The composition of the picture is in a state of control and unpredictability—— Professor Wang Chunchen from the Art Museum of the Central Academy of Fine Arts.
