My long-term practice revolves around my own perceptions, focusing on the culture of death, human life and cycles, attempting to explore the possibilities of the termination of human life, the departure from the temporal nodes of death, and the intersection and significance of the vast ages, nature, and the cycle of life. My mixed-media sculptures and installations combine various organic and inorganic materials, natural and artificial substances, constructing spaces in space, and utilizing familiar organic materials as clues to evoke images from the viewer's memory. The recent research has centered around ethnobotany, affective ecologies, and reconsidering the possibilities of relationships between other species, human beings, and the natural environment.
