I have been creating the theme of airplanes for over ten years since 2012, and I still haven't found it satisfying.

I like the shape of these old planes, the mottled marks, the cabin full of decay, and the already messy and spider web filled cockpit... In this special environment, my desire to paint will be further stimulated. Perhaps it's because I was born into a family of aviation enthusiasts, or perhaps it's because I am inherently a person full of nostalgia.

In daily life, I prefer rainy days, like to hear the sound of rainwater falling on the window, like to draw and read books when it rains, and like the smell after the rain. My creative style has always rarely featured sunny tones. I prefer colors with sunset, gloomy tones, and even monochrome.

Drawing every day is my most basic requirement for myself.

I have always insisted on using manuscripts as the starting point of creation. From the first creation to now, I have accumulated hundreds of monochrome creative manuscripts. Taking a look at these small works every now and then can sometimes bring more creative inspiration. For me, these monochromatic creative methods are more like an appetizer before a meal, or a bottle of chilled beer in the summer season, simple and casual, while also hiding a lot of uncertainty.

When drawing every day, I always lament how time passes by too quickly and often encounter various problems in the picture. Therefore, every painting will encounter some areas that make oneself very conflicted. At first, I am afraid of the arrival of such moments, because it means that sometimes the workload of a whole day or even several consecutive days seems to be unsolvable. Gradually, I began to look forward to the arrival of this moment. In my opinion, a good work must take time to accumulate, which naturally includes this headache inducing part of time. I started trying to develop several works at the same time, drawing this one and drawing that one, trying my best to maintain a sense of freshness towards the work.

The studio is my favorite place, even if I don't paint, I can read books, grow flowers, and feed fish in the studio. Most of the creative inspiration also comes from the studio. I like the subtle scent of turpentine and the special smell of canvas, which makes me feel grounded.

Draw well, it's my favorite thing.
