My work explores the hidden mechanisms of the human psyche through AI-generated film. Her short film La Petite Mort is rooted in the reversed Death tarot card, connecting themes of orgasm, energetic blockage, and the metaphysics of unrested souls. The “little death” becomes a metaphor for both release and self-erasure, suggesting an inner disappearance through climactic dissolution. Ye’s practice seeks to shift the role of the image from representation to alchemical transformation—activating speculative terrains of consciousness through psychoanalysis, mysticism, cybernetics, and the spiritual residues of the digital.
