In order to make this film, Yan penetrated into the Baikonur Cosmodrome built by the USSR during the space race. I recorded the local cultural, military and regional landscape with his camera and had an unexpected encounter with the Russian garrison near Gagarin's launch pad. Fortunately, some backup images survived the expurgation from Russian garrison. The Cave discusses the situation and option of human in the post cold war era with hand-made props and Galaxies made of chemical solutions. The film also features aircrafts that once represented the apex of human technology, they were now either abandoned in the desert or destroyed in the war.
