In recent years, my creations have centered around "urban light and shadow", building an oriental aesthetic through the collision of traditional Xuan paper and contemporary mixed media. From "Night Falls, Embrace the Light", which conveys the warmth of light shining through windows in the city at night, to the ink and color splashing experiment in "I Live with Light", using light as a metaphor to guide people's way home. Gradually, I have formed a creative series that "reveals the emotional spectrum of the city through materials". Since 2024, the four-panel painting "Dawn", "Dusk", "Day", and "Night" has deconstructed the urban biological clock - on 68cm square canvases, it presents the different scenes of Hong Kong at four times of the day, with rock colors simulating the flickering of light. "Drifting" reconstructs and reorganizes the urban landscape, using "fish" to represent another manifestation and reflection of the psychological state of modern urban people.

I focus on the state of urbanites. The cracks formed on the Xuan paper base represent the roads, while the cold and warm tones of watercolor blend at the boundaries of collage. The coarse particles of rock colors float like fragments of memory. Using mixed media to construct urban light and shadow, I reveal those forgotten warm spectrums in the chaos. These fleeting lights are the hidden spine of the city.
