Liao Man: I like to observe quiet mountains and lakes, to enjoy the peaceful dreams that come alone. Although there are stacks of poems and verses which contain the Zen spirit, I shed tears due to the feelings of my heart. I come up with ideas of death in front of those quiet mountains and lakes. How to describe my feeling when faced with the picture? Is the gray tone at the pit of my heart? The gloomy rain? The shades of the mist? It is better to say I am looking for myself when I paint unskillfully and narrating this shamefully.
