Wang Xi: I love the beauty of ancient plum blossoms, symbolizing life - suffering, growth and reproduction. It is similar to my feelings about the modern era. I try to use visual methods, such as contemporary machine aesthetics and pop art to depict plum blossoms full of contradictions and painful fantasies. This is also an interesting point of study with regards to traditional Chinese culture.
