In Ye Wenjia's research, the traditional Chinese principle of "stargazing, layout, landscape" is effectively integrated into his artistic vocabulary. In the contrast between the black and white spheres of heaven and earth, the skyline clearly displays traditional star clusters which shine down on the empty ground. This kind of strong contradiction and conict is embedded into our environment. The artistic composition of traditional Chinese mountains and rivers with modern buildings and urbanized living arrangements are in disharmony. With the technique of expression through discordance, the artist strengthens the ideal world of man-made scenery through a false rendering.( Ding Yi)
