Jo Yunghee：An artwork by Jo Yunghee induces viewer have an optical illusion by intentionally distorting a human body or an object. Jo lets us see an everyday affair from a completely dierent perspective. Jo makes an anamorphic sculpture and places it in the exhibition hall. in a mirror opposite the work you can see a proper shape appear. Now, the artist says nothing is real and everything is ambiguous. In another work by Jo image comes out only when it is seem from a specific angle. Depending on the location of a viewer, the Work is perceived as an entirely dierent one. Jo raises a question if the world we are looking at is merely the one from a specific angle. Through these works the artist suggests that we look into the complicated cultural trends of our society and its structure and substance again. ( Gam Yunjo)
