"The force that through the green fuse drives the flower." These words by the poet Dylan Thomas also describe the power that motivates He Qianli's life and art. This is the young man who set up his studio in the garden to live in harmony with the plants, animals and farmers around him. He deeply enjoys the secrets of nature and reveals them in his own art. He discloses these secrets not through realistic description but by listening to the voices of the souls of nature. He says he draws inspiration from The Private Life of Plants , a documentary by the BBC. There are many artists who draw inspiration from plant life, but his sense of uniqueness is undeniable. His work feels as though it were part of the natural world. The universe is vast and boundless, but also delicate. This can be experienced in his works. (He Duoling)
