Li Xiaoqi: The painter Chirico once said "the only real thing of value in this world is what we see in our eyes-closed state." I am a spirit wandering in my own spiritual world, a world created by my memory, emotion and meditation. This is a world of people, animals, logic, story, confusing scene, and above all, my passion. I try to reassemble the collapsed fragments of memory, including visual memories, rebuilding those images that are deficient. I freely combine people and concepts, shaping them into new relationships in the painting.
