Ye Fan: For me, drawing is a way of making a record of the passing time, shifting moods and day dreams. These experiences and emotions are recorded in each layer of pigment and ink. Over the past two years, I have become increasingly interested in the expression of space. The narrative in these works reflects how most people narrate their own stories. Here, one sees solid, towering buildings growing up to the sky as they give us a false and fleeting sense of security. But of course, that is all we have.
