Chen Lu: Every day and every hour in this lively but quiet city, an undercurrent of exuberant life surges beneath layers of cold geometry. Humans are embodied within architecture but exist outside of its scener y, and in this division both love and loneliness take root in their hear ts. Even the most intimate lovers struggle to wholly understand and comfort one another.Meetings and partings are frequent in this city, and so we grow accustomed to indifference; we have no idea that our longing for love has never decreased. "We just don't want to give up our obsessions, and refuse to admit the existence of loneliness. In the end, there remains only loved strangers."
