Chen Si: We will not forget our childhoo d, our warmth or sorrow for our past days. I miss the shape of my most innocent time. It is deeply engraved in my heart forever, and forms the subject of my work. Through painting, I hope to arouse the memor y of my audience in general, and go beyond a feeling of nostalgia specific to those of us born in the 1980s. Everyone with a childhood should be able to feel the sincerity. My work depicts my per sonal story and its moments of joy and sorrow, loneliness and beauty. I like meditation and daydreaming, I like recalling my childhood memories; I also like the quiet simplicity of creation. And so, with childlike innocence, I search for another strange and new world.
