Lin Zhi: The old farm tools are a feature of their times. I present a variety of tools from the countr yside with wrapped slurry to show their most primitive state.There are all kinds of connections between farm tools and soil. They are interdependent,using one another to accomplish their respective missions. I used the way to display artifacts to showcase these rusting "farm tools". Encasing the objects in slurry takes a long time, just as those tools are from a distant past and took a long time to reach their present mottled state. In our collective memory, farm tools and farming were active in on e stage of history, but eventually usurped by high technology. The times are changing and society is progressing, and soon these common items will gradually lose all function; eventually one will find them only as pictures in a book. This reality suggests that history is always recording things on the preceding page. Will today be recorded in history?
