It is sometimes difficult to tell where the boundaries are between Song Jiayin's ar tistic and emotional expression. We might say that she transfers aesthetic problems into some underlying discussion of emotions, rather than adhering to a mere philosophy or sense of strategic thinking. This means formal problems are transferred, evacuated, and cleared up, becoming autobiographical stories that can be seen, gazed upon and processed as af fect. As a female artist, her inner and feminine power urges her to reflect and consider the state of life. Her observations on the outside world return to the internal without fail, like a river to the sea. Her artistic intention is to produce a continuous, progressive path to the future, achieving a visual embodiment of her life throughconstant flashbacks and rehearsals. ( Yang Beichen )
