To me, Wei Jia's paintings are the blossoming of the flower of life, indicating the revelation of mind and the touch of hear t. Wei's works arouse a sense of grandeur, rendering the historical exclamation one feels when l ooking into the vastness of nature in a manner not dissimilar to Italian painter Mimmo Paladino. He also approaches the issue of spiritual anxiety, opening our heart with unique strokes and palette choices that create a need for selectivity through blurriness. The painter's ingenious mastery of colors and brushwork create an asphalt-like sense of viscosity, flowing in unordered and intermingling bursts of chaotic force. (Yin Shuangxi)
