Xu Qinkai: I have always been interested in architecture. I like marble, cement, and steel materials, which are cold, clear, and strong. Since 2012, when I graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts, I have been trying to express my interest through painting and installation work, keeping myself awake in the indifferent and alienated relationship among people, things, objects and environment. In my work, I remove artificial emotions and rationally construct a controllable ecological landscape.
