Yuan Wei: I use watercolor to depict commonly seen walls, grounds, and corner s. They appear insignificant, and we pay negligible attention to them, but they are always there. With time exerting influence on the city and living creatures leaving traces on them, these places get their own unique features. I am copying these scenes instead of creating - Painting, erasing,repainting… a process that works just like time and chance. I've been looking for the junction of life and art, the border between abstr action and concretization. I focus on things that fade easily and the details around me.
