I stop while walking on the street. A place attracts my attention. My eyes stay on it for a while. The place has an atmosphere that is strangely different from its surroundings. I paint the place onto my canvas.

 There are no human figures in my painting. In some parts of an old city, neglected objects are far from people’s view. These places are usually in the old, unfrequented, downtown. People still live there but some places are abandoned. I find different aspects of these places and pay attention to abandoned parts of city. The contrast among colors and the light, bright nature of color itself overlap incongruously with lonely, empty emotions. This shows the anxiety of modern society which gives an odd feeling.
