Chen Xiao: The quirky and original styles of Johnny Deep left a lasting impression on me, and they are an invaluable source of inspiration for me, really stretching my mind’s capacity for imagination. Edward Scissorhands was created by scientists; while I also invented X my mind. Fast and greedy modernization has led to changes in society, and the emergence of X is not accidental phenomena. He is conceived to be omnipotent, a perfect being moving atop canvas, cardboard and stainless steel, using abstract graphics to emphasize paradoxical relationships between humankind, society and the natural environment. X’s artwork is a salutary warning to everyone to concern themselves with improving the human condition.
