Fu Qinglian: The appearance of memory “disturbs” our cognition. If there is no memory, people are doomed to be lonely. Memory is of course not something that can be seen, but this does not affect its role in our lives. "Herein" implies that she is a projection of the soul. The disappearance of the physical material gives the soul a place to rest, even if it is fragile, barren, sensitive, or lost. This is clearly a track left behind by history. When trying to determine the flavor of an era, we see works punctuated by struggle. We ask if the struggle is for pain or pleasure, and whether it is about the consciousness of history or a reaction to the present society. But these issues are not what is truly important, which is memory itself.
