Huang Ying: I'm trying to create a system with its own logic through the work, the works exist independently of me, but at the same time, they build a relationship with the outside world through me, instead my trying to communicate with the outside world through the media of my artwork. Conventional image analysis rather than daily chart, posters, books, maps and other handmade creations became my method of creation, because they look rational, violent, and readily readable. I integrate my self-awareness and experience into these works to in a seemingly rational way. This is not entirely a deconstruction and alteration of the image, but rather a mode of creation.
