Jin Jinghong: In my paintings, the narrative of human feelings and the perspective space and sense of time are be blurred and weakened, as is human logic and the concept of formal space. I employ methods of stage design, as well as those of photography, graphic and three-dimensional design, and model making. I was separating materials into different classes to achieve layered, scenic and modular paintings. It is thus possible to produce fragmented works through multiples steps. Such a process seems true and reliable for me. The resulting new creative logic, with its method of modeling space and creating color contrast seem to me more reliable. This method in the end shows an actual "false" visual image to the audience. The process of taking something from the false to true, and then back to false again, can be found throughout my works.
