Pan Geyang: I remain skeptical about the fixed and monolithic nature of observation in easel painting, that I might find something new. I attempt to bring forward a new mode of expression and thus also give an enriched viewing experience to the audience. I break apart two related images and then splice them together, changing them from two-dimensional into three-dimensional images. The viewers thus can no longer stand in one place to view the works, but must pace back and forth in front of them. As the view moves, the images he sees change as well, and a stronger link between the work and its audience is formed.
