Wei Zhixin: If I had to sum up my works at the current stage, I would describe them as "mutated freshness". I often create harmonious and "fresh" scenario on my canvases. But what I love to express the most is reality that's ironic, goes against daily norms, or even exaggerates something to the point of slight abnormality. Therefore, I'm also used to creating scenarios run counter to general understanding, I love to deviate, or even digress from my original vision. Compared to the faithful reproduction of reality, I prefer to speculate and fabricate ridiculous facts, and create a reality that's mutated, out of shape, and out of tune.
