Yi Guodong: I use landscapes to create moods, bringing into artistic conception of a particular interpretation of life. My source of content is difference from normal people, where all of the internal organs are out of place "The Man in the Mirror", leads to fear of life and death without reason, but can leave others cool and detached. The work reveals the mystery of life, with all of its complex and fleeting emotions. I create a surrealistic dreamland that allows one to wander between fantasy and reality. I force the viewer to touch life, to feel its love and its warmth. One must be in awe of it!
