Ge Xiao:7, 7---First the logs were molded
to make plastic castings. Then they were grinded into powder and remodeled to
their original forms. But these new logs were much smaller than before. The
rubbing and grinding would inevitably cause invisible damages that could never
be recovered. This is like our lives consumed by time. Our past stays in the
past; the only things left for today are our tired faces. The logs, whether in
the form of castings, plaster, or wood powder, could never recover and become
the original. Both the volume and the mass have changed.
