Lu Yan: From the beginning to now，I always have a kind of unutterable impulse for woodblock prints，When the knife go across the wood board，it is more than just a mark or an image. It is the expression of emotion or the outlet of soul. The tableau presents a soothing natural state that allows me to ponder the relaxation and comfort of the spirit. Besides my personal feelings，my artworks express reflects the changes of society and natural environment. At the same time, it comprises the emotion of the people expressed inside.

Using the light and the shadow changed the viewing angle of my print artworks. With the development of new modern society, new media and methods made my works presented in new ways. New attempts to break the traditional, The process of constant attempt to break the tradition opens up the possibilities of new art, and improves myself at the same time.
