Wang Xian: I have minimized the vocabulary of my artworks to light dots. Both figures and other artistic expressions of the work are represented by lines joint by dots. When familiar figurative images appear in such manner, the unfamiliar sensation it generates would prompt viewers to perceive and consider it again from a new perspective. The theme of my works has evolved from art museums to femininity and there are still on-going creations of experimental sculptures in this series. Through transformations of light and mixed media, my creative conception is well illustrated, in which consumer culture constantly collides with society and history.
