Zhang Zhe：Perhaps because I began my creative practice in a systematic way when I was studying abroad, my works began with the discussion of "identity". From the focus on specific groups, the contrast between different identities, to the study of self-identity, those work made me interested in the cognitive differences between different individuals and eventually led me to the perspective on the Motif of "perception". These problems built up my creative context, when develops with the growth of my personal experiences, and therefore my creative language constantly changes. I hope that there is no obvious link between the schema in my works, but more attentions in the matching of content and form, that i could use the personal observation to express my point of view on the world.

Recently I started the simple paintings on canvas again, wishing to start a personal interpretation of daily life in a more subjective way. This is just like some kind of personal summary after a stage of the creation as objective as possible, which may be a introspection based on a subjective way.
