Zheng Yi: I have made works with boxes since 2010.These works concern personal memory, collective memory and have their own inner dynamic system. I have been influenced by Surrealism, Assemblism and Minimalism, and try to combine the life and spirit of things with human life experience, which is a feature of “Zen” aesthetics. Now I put more focus on the public spaces of my work, trying to make a dialogue between “box” and viewers.
