Bo Tianyi: It is futile to discuss the meaning of painting in today's context, so what's going on through my creative process? What traces have I left behind? How can I ever go from being a "meaningless" to a tedious one with "meaninglessness" throughout my life? Since there is no way to get an answer from the meaning of the painting, I gradually turn to the idea of the body of painting. I began to further conceal the traces of emotional, reflective, political, and even space in my paintings. I began to treat every single object as simple as an image, not expressing the real world, not caring for the psychological needs. I'm just trying to get the images on the canvas to be dealt with by painting, just the line, the line, the shape, the color and the color.
