Dong Lin: My artistic practice is a reinterpretation of Chinese traditional art, literature and painting theory. These works are the result of rethinking the tradition from the perspective of contemporary sculpture concepts. While some of the forms are still based on Han Dynasty stone portrait bricks, tomb grotto murals, pottery figurines, bricks, etc., I portray them in new ways informed by my own understanding.
