Huang Qiyou: Rolling mountains, flowing water, chirping insects, swimming fish and fluttering cranes are turned into the symbols that can express  personal feelings in my paintings. Born with this infatuation for the beauty of landscape, I recombine these natural elements in an ethereal way. My paintings, though strongly under the influence of the oriental aesthetics, are featuring the anti-Chinese classicism. Digging out the ordinary objects that used to be buried in the memory, I have weaved out a hazy and unspeakable emotions in the paintings without the influence of personal preference, in an attempt to simply capture the original nature and not unveil it disturbingly.
