I have placed more emphasis on works that portray people’s common life in modern China in recent years. Here in the new era, in this highly-developed country, exists a plenty of peculiar absurd phenomena. It is so dramatic. Everyone plays a different role on the stage of society. I reorganized various characters in my work to construct a virtual social theater. As to the expression of my painting, I used new expressional techniques of realistic painting, deforming and exaggerating the appearance of these characters, with the purpose of creating a humorous and witty social stage.
