Huang Qitan is always exploring the possibilities of form and space in his work. This is the theme that not only the spatial and mathematical regulations that the ancient sought after, but also how contemporary people think about the space where they exist, their bodies, and their positions. If we say, the ancients have always been estimating the space and cognizing themselves, then today, what Huang Qitan works on reflects the realistic space that people should exist in and expand to the unity of physical form and consciousness.

In his latest work of "Double Series", he helps audiences to keep themselves out of the work and embodies the objects in the work with personality. Those common objects produce inexplicable strangeness and contradiction in the work after being overlapped and paralyzed.
