 In an attempt to make some changes, I have arranged a few characters and narrations in my recent works. The atmosphere of my paintings thus accidentally coincides with the desolate feeling of “empty solitude” in my previous works; some self-projections of black humor and consciousness are also extended. My style is constantly changing, yet my personal temperament is difficult to change. Literary quality is not my pursuit. Most of my paintings feature cultural scenes of self-hypothesis, though some of them certainly stem from allusions. In the “contemporary” era, when various theories and concepts prevail, who will actually care about such trivial thoughts and deceits in painting?
