 I have always been fascinated by the emotions conveyed by objects and hope to solidify emotions on the canvas. Of course, what I’m referring to is not just an object or its form. It can be a figure, a landscape, or just a corner of a still life. In my opinion, these can all be categorized to be objects. In recent works, I have tried to extract these "objects" in my eyes, and to strengthen their attributes. In addition, I have also tried to abandon the concept of "background" and balance all the elements in the image. I treat the main body of the picture and the divided shapes on the canvas equally, as different combinations of objects on a plane. I hope to convey a certain emotion or story through modeling different textures and shapes of objects.
