The artist has used the shape of wood grain to create and depict the mysterious fairyland in Chinese myths and legends, which are produced by people’s longing for a carefree and unrestrained life. Meanwhile, the wood grain is a trace of the growth of a tree, which represents the growth process of life itself. Similarly, people often use curves to represent the state of life or to depict the ups and downs of life, such as the electrocardiogram and electromyogram. Therefore, I use wood grain to represent the traces of growth in my life, to represent my hopes for the future, with all the mystery and beauty of a fairyland connecting me with the mythic fairyland, and to serve as my sustenance for a better life in the future.
