Urbanization and development have made the places of my childhood unrecognizable. I have spent my past years in Beijing, which has intensified my strangeness towards my hometown. I have become a "stranger," leaving only remnants of memories in my mind. I was restless with uncertainty, and all I could do was to keep them by painting, to give me consolation in being a stranger.
